When ordering, you will be asked to provide:

Book title and author
Finished front cover dimensions
Finished spine width
Finished back cover dimensions
Preferred atmosphere, style or aesthetic
Important symbols, motifs, characters or story elements
Details you would like included or avoided
Inspiration images, where helpful

You do not need to arrive with a complete vision.

A favourite scene, a meaningful symbol, a colour palette or a few scattered ideas are enough to open the doors of the Scriptorium.

From story to silhouette

Your brief will be shaped into a cohesive cover design created specifically for vinyl cutting and application.

Each design considers:

The proportions of your finished case
Balance across the front, spine and back
Readability at book-cover scale
Practical cutting and weeding
The visual language of the story
The materials and vinyl colours you plan to use

Art & Parcel cover designs are created in a silhouette-led style suited to Cricut and other compatible cutting machines.

The design process

Your commission includes:

One original design direction based on your submitted brief
A digital proof for review
Up to two rounds of minor revisions
Preparation of the final cut-ready SVG

Minor revisions may include small changes to placement, wording, scale or individual details.

Requests for a completely new concept or major change in direction after the first design has been created may require an additional design fee.

Your digital parcel

Once approved, you will receive:

One cut-ready SVG file
Front cover artwork
Spine artwork
Back cover artwork
A digital reference image showing the complete layout

The SVG can be resized within compatible design software without losing quality.

Before submitting your measurements

Where possible, measure your completed hardcover case rather than the original paperback cover.

The artwork will be designed using the dimensions you provide. Art & Parcel cannot guarantee the fit of a design where measurements are incomplete or incorrect.

If your case has not yet been constructed, provide your planned dimensions and allow room for final adjustment within your cutting software.

Before sending the design to your machine

You will need to:

Upload the SVG into Cricut Design Space or another compatible program
Confirm the size against your completed case
Arrange the elements as required
Mirror the artwork when cutting heat-transfer vinyl
Complete a small test cut before using your final material

Fine details may require patient weeding, particularly when a design is reduced for a smaller book.
