This parcel contains the consumable materials needed to turn one existing paperback into a clothbound hardcover. It is designed for returning binders who already own their tools, understand the rebinding process and simply need fresh supplies for another volume.

No tools, cover design or video instructions are included.

Your materials parcel includes:

• High-quality bookbinding glue
• Durable, paper-backed book cloth
• Spine cloth for strength and flexibility
• Binder’s board for constructing a new hardcover case
• Standard decorative endpapers
• Decorative book headbands
• Ribbon bookmark

Each material has been selected to work together as part of one complete hardcover rebind.

Choose your volume

Select the size closest to the paperback you plan to transform:

• Standard Paperback: the smaller, commonly used Australian novel format
• Large Trade Paperback: the larger format often used for first releases and trade editions

Each parcel allows some flexibility and will generally suit a book approximately 1 cm larger or smaller than the selected size.

Please measure your copy before ordering, as dimensions can vary between publishers and editions.

What is not included

You will need to provide your own:

• Paperback book
• Rebinding tools
• Glue brush
• Bone folder
• Craft knife or box cutter
• Cutting mat
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Household iron
• Cover design or decorative finish, HTV

Pre-cut HTV is not included. Choose a design from The Scriptorium, provide your own SVG for cutting, or commission a custom cover design separately.

Step-by-step video instructions are also not included. First-time binders may prefer the Complete Rebinding Kit, which contains the tools, materials and guided tutorial for the full process.
